Although Ken Wapnick claimed to be the editor and publisher of A Course in Miracles, Jesus gave Helen instructions that all editions should be kept open source and free to all. He tried to keep his version of the Course, which he called "The Authentic Edition," exclusive by suing anyone who used it without his permission. However, the UR Text and several other versions eventually emerged from being hidden for so long.
